Pam, happy new year! We have our bull sale pictures done (mostly) and would
like to put some, or all-depending on how many you think we can fit on the
for sale page,on our web site. We found that putting all our fall sale cattle
on this site really helped sell them, people could go on and find what we had
for sale and look at pedigrees as well as even a dam picture (if we had one).
We were successful in getting 2 or 3 of the 12 or so we had for sale sold from
using our website. it worked great!!
Thanks,
Jim Smith

CETA/ACTE is happy with the service that COWS provides. My contact is with both Pam and Laurie. When I send updates for our web site to Pam, she responds right away letting me know that she has received my email and info. Laurie gets the updates done very quickly and usually either Pam or Laurie let me know when the updates are finished so I can check everything from my end. And if something needs to be corrected or changed these are looked after immediately.

....... CETA/ACTE is very happy with the service that COWS provides and is very happy with the work done by Pam and Laurie.

Best regards,

Once again I have already been contacted about one of the animals listed for sale with this week's updates. So I have to say it goes to prove that your web site maintenance/updates are absolutely key to my advertising success! I truly appreciate it.

I must say that working with everyone there on setting-up our website was a most enjoyable experience.

I truly appreciated your attention to detail, your promptness with which you addressed my concerns and executed our story, and the extremely helpful suggestions you made which told me that there was a real working knowledge embedded having roots deeply attached to the livestock industry.

You're good listeners, which undoubtedly is a huge reason why I'd do business with you again. Thank you for an invaluable service.

Respectfully.

Dear Rhonda and Sandra,
February 27th, 2003

We are writing to let you know how happy we were with the results of our Internet Auction held last summer. We were amazed at the response we received from around the world. We had inquiries from virtually every state as well as many from Canada and several other countries. The Internet is a way to reach a whole new group of clientele. We had hoped to have 50 prospective bidders and interested parties and we ended up with 104 that registered for a user name and password! We assume that not all of those parties actively participated in the auction but they were interested enough to take time to log on and register. We feel that any time someone contacts us about our program they are perspective customers for the future.

We sold cattle into 8 states with about half of them going to new customers. The contact we made with new customers was unbelievable. Many of them were breeders that were in the business but some were people wanting to get into the business and were first time buyers. We felt there were many factors that made our internet sale a success. First and foremost is that you must offer your very best cattle. The fact that most people may not be able to come to ranch and see them first hand means they must trust you about the quality of the offering. There must be good pictures on the internet that reflects the quality of the offering. I think having the sale cattle pictures plus sire and dam is important. It is also important to provide as much data as is available. Buyers are looking for the complete package! There is also no doubt that our track record at some of the major shows such as Denver was a factor in the success of the sale. The most vital part was the service and expertise that COWS provided. As we went into this project it was reassuring that you (COWS) had the knowledge to "get the job done and do it right". That was the least of our worries. When we first started talking about having the internet auction the first thing we thought was "what does Rhonda and Sandra think about it"? As you know, that thought process continued on as we planned for the auction! Bottom line is "we couldn't have done it without you" and we thank you for that!

In closing we want to say that we strongly feel the internet auction system is the wave of the future. Cattle breeding has changed drastically in the last decade as more data is available. All of this data can be readily displayed on the internet for the buyers to view. The challenge that we all face is to get the cattle to match the "paper". We must maintain the proper frame size and correctness on feet and legs to produce the cattle that serves our cattle industry. We must never lose sight of the fact that we are in the business to serve the commercial cattlemen!

Sincerely,
Guy and Sherry Colyer
